Kenya

With a GDP of just $800 USD; 50% of the population lives below the poverty line. Unemployment is well above 40%. 45% of the population is under 14 years of age. The AIDS pandemic, perennial drought, and frequent political instability have only aggravated the situation.

The Children

The population of children living in the streets has become a crisis. Hope Children's Fund has taken 79 of these young people off the streets and given them a home and an education essential to prepare them for productive adult life.

Become A Mentor

Our mentor program is a unique experience. For $365 a year; you have the opportunity to provide for the basic needs of one child at the Hope Children's Home. Sponsors are encouraged to engage in mentoring and correspond with their children over the course of that year (and hopefully longer).

To Fund Hope Across the World

Many of this area’s residents are suffering; incidences of AIDS-related deaths go hand-in-hand with the high state of homelessness, especially among small children, who make up approximately 45 percent of the population. Too many families cannot provide sustenance for their youngest family members, and unless aid efforts continue to grow, the numbers of those suffering will only escalate.
