Jane Mwendwa, who came to us as a 12 year old when we opened in 2005, is now a junior pharmacy student at Kenya Methodist University in Meru.
Ed with Catherine Nkatha, a Form Four student who serves as head prefect at her Girl’s Secondary School. Catharine does very well in her studies, and hopes to pass the University Entrance exam so that she can continue her studies next year.
Mentors Yvette Hohler, Larry Hohler, and Ed Hyshiver with Elosy Kinya and Kelvin Koome. With financial support from Ed, Kelvin is pursuing a medical education at Kenya Methodist University. Elosy hopes to enter Secondary school next term.
Caroline Kathuri is in her third year at Chuka University, majoring in Eco Tourism.

Edwin Muguna, Hope Children’s Home Director Joe Kirima, Ken Muthuiyia, and Kelvln Mutuma Naari at Mt.. Kenya University in Thika. The boys began their freshman year in September.
Moses Maingi began his first year at Kenya Technical University in Nairobi. We are hoping that his high grade on the entrance exam will qualify him for a government scholarship.
